Are you snoozing in the morning?
I get it. I’ve been there before.
I use to snooze between 9 minutes and an hour and a half, depending on how much I could get away with.
I had a few instances where I accidentally hit the stop button and woke up several hours later.
Ups… Can you relate?
Between me and you… those are the days I don’t miss because they lacked excitement.
My day back then looked like this… Get up, get ready, leave the house, go to work, stare at excel spreadsheets, come home, workout, maybe hang out with friends, go to bed…
I’m not saying there is anything wrong with this lifestyle, but I wanted more. I had no clue what more was beside working for myself.
The lifestyle I was living left me stressed, anxious and feeling hopeless. I wanted out, but I couldn’t see a way out. I was stuck. I didn’t ask for help.
As I’ve learned over the years, if you resist making proactive decisions you’ll be forced to make reactive decisions. This is exactly what happened when I ended up in the ER in 2014.
My mind, body, and soul were disconnected. I wasn’t aware of the sharp abdominal pain I had the past 4 months. Thinking back I felt pain but dismissed it because I thought it was stress related.
It’s that very night in the ER I made a promised myself that I will live differently, no matter what.
As I made this decision I felt excited. I felt hopeful that I too can possibly do what I’m meant to do in this world. One thing led to the other and here I’m, sending weekly posts and excited about what I do!
What I want to share with you is that you shouldn’t wait for things to get bad before you make changes.
A key indicator that something is off in your life is if you have trouble getting out of bed in the morning.
Don’t ignore this sign. Take a moment to ask yourself, why do I feel this way?
Once you figure this out choose differently, so that you can live a life you’re excited about.
